Account Recovery
What to do when you forgot your password, lost your 2FA device, or lost access to your email.
Work through the case that matches your situation. Each one is ordered from the fastest option to the slowest.
I forgot my password
Use Forgot password on the sign-in page. We send a reset link to the email address on the account; the link expires, so use it soon after it arrives. Check the spam folder before assuming it did not arrive.
I lost my 2FA device
Use one of the recovery codes you saved when you enabled two-factor authentication. Enter it in place of the six-digit code. Each code works once.
After you are back in: turn 2FA off and on again to pair a new device, and save the fresh set of recovery codes.
No codes and no device?
Without a recovery code and without the authenticator, sign-in cannot be completed automatically. Open a ticket in our Discord server from the Discord account connected to the profile — that connection is the strongest proof of ownership we can verify.
I lost access to my email
If you can still sign in, change the email address from Settings immediately and confirm the new one.
If you cannot sign in and cannot receive the reset message, contact us through Discord. Be ready to show what you can: the connected Discord account, when the profile was created, and details only the owner would know.
My account was taken over
Act in this order:
- Reset the password if you can still receive the reset email.
- Turn on 2FA the moment you are back in.
- Check Settings for a changed email address and change it back.
- Review your links and socials — attackers usually swap destinations for scam URLs.
- Report it in our Discord so staff can look at the account history.
Prevention
A password unique to flexbio.link, 2FA enabled, recovery codes stored somewhere other than your phone, and a Discord account connected — with those four in place, recovery is nearly always self-service.
