Giveaways

How Discord giveaways work — who can enter, how the winner gets the prize with a single-use code, and how to host one you paid for in the Shop.

Giveaways run on our Discord server. The prize is always Flexbio Credits or the Verified badge, and the bot never hands it out directly: the winner gets a single-use code and redeems it on flexbio.link.

There are two kinds — giveaways run by the flexbio.link team, and giveaways a member paid for in the Shop and hosts themselves. Entering and redeeming work the same way for both.

Entering

Press Enter under the giveaway post. Only members whose Discord is linked to a flexbio.link account can enter — see Discord connection if yours is not linked yet.

A banned flexbio.link account cannot win.
When the prize is the Verified badge, accounts that are already verified are skipped in the draw.
The post shows the end time and the number of entries, and lists the winner once it ends.

Winning and redeeming the prize

The bot sends the winner a DM with a single-use code and a Redeem Prize button. Run /giveaway prize on the server to see your code again if the DM did not arrive.
Sign in to the flexbio.link account linked to that Discord.
Open flexbio.link/redeem, enter the code and press Redeem.

The Credits or the Verified badge land on the account straight away. A giveaway code works only on the winner's linked account, so it cannot be passed on to someone else.

14 days to redeem

An unredeemed code expires after 14 days. In a team giveaway the prize is then drawn again for another entrant; in a giveaway paid for in the Shop the buyer is refunded instead.

Hosting a giveaway from the Shop

Credits packs and the Verified badge can be bought as a giveaway for the community:

Link your Discord to your flexbio.link account — hosting needs it.
In the Shop, pick Flexbio Credits or the Verified badge and switch the recipient to Giveaway, then pay.
On our Discord server, run /giveaway gift and choose how long it runs — from 1 hour to 7 days.

The giveaway is posted in the giveaway channel with you as the host. It always has one winner, and once it has started it cannot be cancelled.

Your payment is refunded automatically when:

nobody eligible entered before the end, or
the winner did not redeem the code within 14 days.

If you would rather choose the recipient yourself, buy a Gift Link instead — you get a code to pass on to one person. See Shop.

Codes only come from the bot

A prize code arrives in a DM from the flexbio.link bot and is redeemed only at flexbio.link/redeem. Staff never ask for your password or a code to "deliver" a prize, and nobody else can claim a prize for you.
