Discord Connection
Link your Discord account, what the connection is used for, and how roles and badges sync.
Connecting Discord ties your flexbio.link account to your Discord user. It powers sign-in, the Discord widget on your profile, and the badges and roles our bot manages.
Connect or disconnect
Open Dashboard → Settings → Account & Security and use the Discord connection there. You can also register with Discord from the start — in that case the account is connected from day one.

Disconnecting removes the link. If Discord is your only sign-in method, set a password first, otherwise you will not be able to sign back in.
What the connection gives you
- Sign in with Discord instead of an email and password.
- The Discord widget — show your Discord presence on your profile (see Widgets).
- Role and badge sync — our bot mirrors the roles you have in our server onto the site, and grants the badges tied to them.
Badges granted through Discord
Some badges are not bought or claimed — the bot grants them when something happens in the server. For example, the Suggester badge is granted when a suggestion you posted is accepted by staff.
Badge changes made by the bot appear on your profile within a short delay. If a badge you were granted does not show up:
- confirm the Discord account you were granted it on is the one connected here,
- check that the badge is not hidden in Customize → Badges,
- reload your profile in a private window to bypass the cache.
One Discord account can be connected to one flexbio.link account at a time. To move the connection, disconnect it on the first account before connecting it on the second.
Privacy
The connection stores your Discord user ID and public profile data. It does not give us access to your messages, your servers or your DMs, and nothing is posted on your behalf.
