Marketplace

Rare usernames, low UIDs and unique aliases — how listings, prices, the inventory and redeeming work.

The Marketplace at flexbio.link/market sells scarce identities: short usernames, low account UIDs, and extra aliases that point at your profile. Every listing is one-of-one — once someone buys it, it disappears from the marketplace for good.

What is listed

KindWhat you get
Rare usernameA short handle that can replace your current one
Rare UIDA low account UID — the ones below 100 are marked as such
Unique aliasAn extra short address that leads to your profile

Listings are created by staff, not by users. You cannot list your own username for sale.

Browsing

The Marketplace tab holds everything available. Search by name, filter by Type, and sort by newest, cheapest or most expensive. Your Credit balance is shown at the top, next to the tab switch.

Prices

Every listing has a price in euro. Some listings additionally accept Flexbio Credits — that is decided per listing by staff, so a listing without a Credits price can only be bought with money.

On the listing page you pick the payment method before buying: Card, handled by Stripe Checkout, or Credits you already hold. A listing without a Credits price can only be bought by card.

Choosing how to use it

A username listing can be taken two ways, and the choice is made at checkout:

  • Set as username — it replaces your current handle.
  • Add as alias — you keep your handle and the rare name becomes an extra address. This adds a one-time rare alias application fee of €7.99 / 799 Credits on top of the listing price.

A UID listing has one option, Set as UID, and an alias listing one, Add as alias.

Buying and redeeming are separate

Paying does not change your profile. The item lands in your Inventory, where it waits until you press Redeem — because redeeming rewrites your username, your UID or your aliases, and that is not something to trigger by accident.

What redeeming does:

  • Username — your handle changes. Your previous username is kept as an alias where possible, so old links keep working.
  • UID — your account identity changes, and you are signed out and have to sign in again.
  • Alias — the new address starts pointing at your profile straight away.

An item can only be redeemed once. Until you do, it simply sits in the Inventory, marked Ready to redeem.

Two people cannot buy the same listing

Stock is always one, enforced at the database level. If two buyers press the button at the same moment, only one purchase is recorded — the other gets "This item is no longer available" and is never charged.

Gifted items

Staff can hand an item to an account instead of selling it. A gifted item appears in the Inventory marked Received rather than Paid, and redeems exactly the same way.

Before you take a rare username

Changing your handle changes the link you have been sharing. The old one is kept as an alias where possible, but not always — check Share your profile and update your bios afterwards either way.
